I still couldn't forget how we felt having our first step in another country... EXCITED of course! Since it's our first travel abroad, it took us months of months... probably 3 months of research. After we decided that it's time for us to put our travel to the next level, of course with the help of piso-fare of Cebu Pac, we booked our ticket to Hong Kong. Great thing there's a promo like this or else I wouldn't give it a go. Spending a lot for plane ticket is a big no no for me... sayang man ay! lol. And mind you, we booked it almost a year ahead. That's how we planned it. It's not a joke traveling to other country especially that you'll be spending $! lol... By the way, why HK? Because there are only 2 countries with direct flight here in Iloilo (SG & HK) and I wanna go to Disneyland and Macau!!! That's it!
How's the preparation? Thanks to google of course! Information is everywhere! We had read lots of blogs and sites first especially with the cheapest accommodations which is near the tourist site. And luckily, we had prepared everything before we fly. Tickets, HK Dollars, Itinerary, Passport, accommodation, extension, adaptor.. and all!! Never mind the arguments we had during the planning stage.. lol.. that's part of it. We left it in Pinas anyway!
Our flight was at 11PM (Nov. 27, 2014) but we were so excited so we were already there at 8PM. haha! So as expected, we own the waiting area. We were the first to arrive. While waiting we met, Nang Sarah, who was working in HK... we had a small talk and she gave us some tips... we'll my husband loves meeting and talking to new people so waiting time is not a problem.
We arrived at around 1AM. We roamed around since I was amazed with how big and beautiful there airport it. And honestly, we didn't know the way out.. haha! And it's only 2AM. We stayed were most people were and we rester for almost half an hour and later we met a single traveler and talked. We later on decided to take a cab since we almost had same way. Mind you, next time just wait til morning, the taxi driver cheated on us and asked us to pay more. Since we were sleepy and of course stranger in their place we had left with no choice but to pay (instead of onlySG$180 we paid SG$300). Ok move on... We stayed at McDo while waiting for the receptionist of our Guesthouse to arrive.
We checked-in at 7AM and slept until 10AM. That's somehow enough to regain energy to start our itinerary for the day. We stayed at Cosmic Guest House. The rooms is just small.. somehow enough for 2 persons. There's no separation for toilet and shower as well. Anyway, We'll will not be staying there all day, so not a problem for us.
